Dry season

Another ambiguous photo of the sky and treetops.

I can’t remember the last time it rained properly. Only heat waves and dry terrain lately. Very unusual for this time of year. My room temperature hit the 25 degree mark days ago, so it is a bit more difficult to get some sleep. Luckily I don’t have to go to work.

I decided to take a small break from gaming. Turned out to be easy by just putting the game controller out of sight. I haven’t been able to do as much self-reflections as I wished, but small insights are made now and then. I’m patient with this jigsaw as I have time for it now.

Streaming old Japanese music

I must say that Apple Music has a great catalog of 1970s Japanese jazz/pop music. I’ve mostly been listening to music by Hatsumi Shibata, as her music has some interesting covers, like a one by John Lennon. Apple Music’s recommendations are pretty good, even if it comes up with some bizarre sleazy picks.

Sticking to all things Japanese, I went to see Monster, a Japanese mystery drama of a single mother noticing her young son starting to act strangely and seeks answers from school. It was a fine movie about coming of age, gossiping, parenting, lying to hide truths and rigid school systems.

So nothing out of the ordinary lately. I need to be more curious though, this is maybe a tad too convenient right now.
