Drafting corridors

The past weeks I’ve been playing Blue Prince, a puzzle game that has received a lot of praise since it’s release last year. It certainly has been fun to play and whole evenings have gone in a blink of an eye while trying to make sense of all the clues around an ever shifting manor the player drafts in room to room each day.

An out of context moment in Blue Prince when a distant puzzle suddenly makes complete sense.

While I’ve technically reached the goal of finding my way to “Room 46”, which proves the hero is worthy of a heir of the estate, the game offers so much more puzzles to solve out afterwards that I haven’t been able to let go of it yet, even though I know I probably don’t have the patience to figure out the most obscure ones.

Good game then, reminded me a lot of Lorelei and the Laser Eyes, another puzzle game I enjoyed a lot. Blue Prince has more elements of luck what floor plans it randomly gives you though, which has occasionally been quite frustrating.

A hint! Or is it a riddle in itself?

Otherwise nothing much else going on. On the music listening front I’ve been playing on repeat Ayumi Hamasaki‘s latest album Remember You (was released way back in 2023 though). Her music hasn’t evolved hardly at all from what it was twenty years ago and strictly speaking it isn’t even an album I’d recommend to anyone, but I’ve picking it a lot on Apple Music when I’m too tired to decide on anything else. Maybe I’m alarmingly tired now?
