Another hazy week went by and I’m struggling to remember what I did, apart from spending my evenings with Final Fantasy XV (97 hours now clocked on that). Thankfully I’m near completing it now.
At least I went to see the Helsinki Biennial 2023 at Vallisaari one day, which was also the first time this year I visited an island by boat in Helsinki. The art pieces were okay, but nothing that I’ll remember forever as time passes.
I also went to see the movie Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which I’ve seen many times on VHS-cassette when I was a kid, but never in a movie theater. Great movie in many ways (only now I understand the various themes and jokes I couldn’t get as a child) and I liked the reminders in it about the importance of humour in life.
One line that always stuck with me is when the Femme Fatale of the movie, Jessica Rabbit, is asked why on earth did she marry such a hazardous character like Roger Rabbit. Her deadpan answer was simple: “He makes me laugh”.
In the other news, while searching my apartment for something (can’t remember what it was and did I find it), I found an unused film roll for my Rolleicord camera. The film would expire next month, so I decided to use it while I still can (and hoping the film is still okay). Not sure what I’ll shoot though, maybe buildings of interest around Helsinki.
