Traveling in a fantasy world

Unstable weather lately is good for cloud spotting.

Very unproductive week outside of work. Some minor shopping with clothing (socks and a hat), but otherwise I’ve used my free time mostly in the world of Final Fantasy XV. Escapism of sorts. And procrastinating.

After around 60 hours of game time, I’m slowly starting to get a hang of the battle system. There still are times the battles are just chaotic and hard to predict where an enemy might strike in the midst of it all. Luckily some encounters can be cleared with a single spell when I’m on a hurry or lazy (though the game will not give a high ranking for this sort of style).

The open world is also not so open as in Zelda (not everything you see is reachable), which was a minor disappointment, but doesn’t bother me that much.

I like the feature that not only I can photograph in the game, but one of the support characters does it automatically too in the background. It is a nice touch to go through the photos when resting in a camp or accommodation and pick the ones to save for later. The final set once the game is finished might be nostalgic later on. Or just a collection of random shots I have no memory of anymore.

Below are some of my own snapshots from the digitally constructed artificial world I’ve been hanging around in. Yeah, slow week indeed.
