Night of the Arts

One of my favourite live bands, Suistamon Sähkö threw a free concert on the Night of the Arts.

Not much going on recently, the last days of summer is in the air and the weather was excellent on Helsinki’s annual Night of the Arts evening that peppers the city with countless cultural and artsy events.

I wasn’t planning going anywhere beforehand, but eventually I ended up visiting two museums, a live concert and watched an outdoor movie screening in front of the Oodi public library. Felt like a good event this time around. Helsinki does have its moments.

For the remainder of the evening I watched some short films (theme being endings of catastrophe movies) and the 1980 satire film Airplane!

I also bought a blu ray copy of the movie Memoria I saw last year and rewatched it right away. Still one of the greatest artistic mystery films I’ve seen for awhile, even if I still couldn’t make full sense of it.

Been awhile since I’ve purchased a movie. At least it came with some extra content and even a booklet.

Otherwise I’ve used my free time playing Final Fantasy XV. I haven’t advanced with the main story for a long time now (some dude in a gas station is just waiting for me to follow him). I’m perfectly happy cruising around the open world instead, doing meaningless side quests, camping, fishing, photographing and trying to make sense of the battle system (not sure is it good or bad yet).

Repainted my ride for the trendy colour of this summer in Final Fantasy XV.
