Back to spring

Signs of Vappu around Helsinki were present.

The winter week was quickly a thing of the past and now Helsinki has been enjoying temperatures above 10 degrees and plenty of sunshine. Really, just a week ago the city was packed with snow and now there is hardly a trace of it. So it goes, then.

I’ve also started a new video game, Forspoken. It was on sale for a mere 8 euros (plus a few euros shipping), so I thought about giving it a shot with an open mind. So far it hasn’t been as bad as many reviews have rated it. Well, at least for what I payed for.

It also seems like the perfect game for the summer season, as I have leisurely played it for around a hour per evening before moving on to some other activity. I wouldn’t be surprised if this is the only video game I bother to play all summer.

Forspoken has great looking scenery, although the harsh dynamic range is annoying.

Other activities have been (among other things) playing around with the Stylophone. It is a nice toy to grab for a moment and try to play some familiar tunes by the ear.

What else. I took a free six month subscription to the Apple Music service, which is pretty good (almost annoyingly). So far I’ve mostly been listening to video game soundtracks and Japanese music female singer artists from the 70s. Stuff I can hardly find on Bandcamp.

Saw The Driver (1978). Afterwards I realized the movie didn’t have a scene as in the poster of the bad cop enjoying woman company.
