Lifetime product

Observed some art this week (at HAM Helsinki).

Time for another weekly blog post of random things popping into my head for the next few moments.

The weather got slippery, so a dangerous period in winter is at hand. Luckily I have my anti-slip gear for my shoes. Essential for urban survival in the city, maybe other slippery places too.

I bought a linen pillowcase this week, which is part of Finlayson’s Jesus product line. They are so assured by its quality, that they give it a 50-year warranty (in the receipt reads 600 months!). It has a bit expensive for a mere pillowcase, but I just had to buy it because I was looking for some new ones anyway and I want to see how long can I keep using it, though I think hygiene or esthetic factors might play a bigger role than built quality in the (very) long run. This will remain to be seen.

I’ve still been playing Sky: Children of the Light on my console, but I’ve also spent more time with Tchia, which takes place in an open world fictional archipelago inspired by New Caledonia. Wandering around the lush digital landscapes made me think I really should go somewhere this spring for a real change of scenery. Hopefully I manage to do so.

Looking at the landscape in Tchia.

What else. Next week starts DocPoint festival. I’m aiming to see a few screenings there in order to keep myself away from the sofa for a bit.
