Apart from Finland’s Independence Day (free day from work), it hasn’t been a memorable week. I’ll still try to write something as usual.
I’ve continued playing Remedy’s Control. Previously I said I was not that impressed with the graphics, but after I switched performance mode in the settings to graphics mode which uses ray tracing, I have to re-evaluate my statement. Everything looks smoother, reflective surfaces look great and I haven’t noticed any major problems with things slowing down.
Somewhere again in another dimension in Control.
The combats are just challenging enough not to take them lightly, but the story is something I’ve taken a bigger interest into now, reading numerous files shattered around the vast office of the Federal Bureau of Control (or “The Oldest Building”). Good stuff so far, didn’t expect myself taking my time slowly with this game (29 hours so far).
Moving onto other topics, if there is one album throughout the year I’ve been listening to a lot, it would be Röyksopp’s Profound Mysteries III. In some way it is easy to listen to and has some really moody tracks. Since it was already released last year, I can’t pick it as the album of the year.
What else? I got a haircut? I’m trying to have a break with eating candy? Okay, maybe I’ll stop writing more this time around.
