Skiing and stargazing

Cross-country skiing on a frozen lake. Nice.

For Easter I went to the countryside and did some cross-country skiing. I think I haven’t skied this much for at least a decade. It was pretty relaxing stuff, most likely will do it again next winter.

Since the sky was very clear every day, I decided to give a try in photographing star skies during the night. Not only did I end up with photos of stars, but auroras as well. They were very pale with naked eyes, but it was surprising to notice how well the digital camera could capture the colors during the long exposures. Afterwards reviewing the photos I also noticed there was a comet in the sky and even the distant galaxy Andromeda. Never realized it was so clearly visible out there.
